Yes and No. Recent testing has revealed that certain fibre-based packaging can indeed contain elevated levels of PFAS. This could primarily be attributed to poorly manufactured products that incorporate PFAS to establish oil and grease barriers, or potentially from low-cost imports. However, manufacturers adhering to high standards and producing quality products will adhere to voluntary regulations of less 100 parts per million which indicates low/no PFAS.
